About the Role


As an Apprentice Teacher of Mathematics, you will:


  • Train towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through the South Farnham Educational Trust teacher training programme;
  • Work alongside experienced Mathematics teachers to develop your teaching practice;
  • Support and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across different Key Stages. We aim to provide our Apprentice Teachers with a bespoke timetable that suits their interests, skills and training needs, and graduates over time;
  • Assist with planning, assessment and feedback to support student progress;
  • Develop effective classroom management and teaching strategies;
  • Participate fully in departmental meetings, training sessions and school life;
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities;
  • Support students' academic, personal and social development as part of the wider school community.

Who We're Looking For


We are seeking someone who:


  • Holds, or is on track to achieve, a degree in Mathematics or a related subject at 2:2 or above;
  • Has a genuine passion for Mathematics and education;
  • Is committed to developing into an outstanding teacher;
  • Possesses excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Is enthusiastic, resilient and keen to learn from experienced colleagues;
  • Builds positive relationships with students, parents and carers and staff;
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people;
  • Demonstrates strong ICT and administrative skills.
