St George’s Primary School is seeking two enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistants to join our talented teams in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, where we are very ambitious for all children to achieve and become the best they can be.
Our primary aim is for every child to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially. We want pupils to thrive, feel safe, and be happy within our school environment; as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively to support this.
Successful applicants will:
- Possess a willingness to improve communication skills when working with children
- Be receptive to receiving guidance and support
- Be willing to develop a self-reflective approach to your own practice, seeking ways to improve and enhance understanding
- Have the ability to uphold and develop a high level of professionalism
- Be committed to excellent attendance
- Develop as an active learner by taking ownership of your professional development and academic progress, and the ability to manage your time to meet both role-related tasks and apprenticeship obligations is crucial
- Have a good level of Standard English and Maths knowledge, ideally GCSE Level 4+ or an equivalent
