Art, D&T and Reprographics Technician job summary

We are seeking to appoint a successful, enthusiastic, and dynamic professional who is a highly motivated, well-qualified specialist with an innovative and supportive approach to supporting practical activities in Design & Technology and Art, as well as carrying out reprographic requests in a timely manner.

The role involves supporting teachers to develop and deliver inspiring curriculums where students flourish and make exceptional progress by helping with the preparation of materials and teaching areas for practical lessons.

Successful applicants should demonstrate strong self-discipline, show a passion for D&T, Art and reprographics and be highly motivated with the ability to cope with periods of pressure and prioritise workload accordingly so that deadlines are met.

The Role

Good maintenance and order of equipment and resources

Stock keeping and ordering of supplies/resources for both departments

Assisting the teacher in lessons

Reporting to line manager of any breaches in Health & Safety/COSHH guidelines or dangerous practice

Cleanliness of equipment/resources and storage areas

Cutting and preparing timber using machinery

Maintaining machinery and health and safety standards

Risk assessments across Art and D&T

Organising and prioritising reprographics requests

Carrying out printing, photocopying, laminating, booklet making, binding, and other requests in the most appropriate, timely and cost-effective way

Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the highest quality standard, in line with the corporate and professional image of Castle View Academy

Ensuring all finished reprographics are available for collection in a timely manner

Working alongside the Design and Marketing Coordinator to produce professional printing

Maintain stocks and supplies for all reprographics machines including paper, toner, ink and staples

Ensuring that all reprographics machinery is kept in good working order, reporting any faults or issues as required

Providing the finance department with regular meter readings and stationery recharges

Awareness of Copyright requirements, Data Protection, and confidentiality issues

Maintain all work areas so that they are always clean and tidy, ensuring the health and safety of self and others
