What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has strong subject knowledge in Fine Art and experience with photography
- Is very able in drawing, painting and print-making amongst other fine art practices
- Has experience teaching photography and with Photoshop style software, also in using a digital SLR camera
- Demonstrates creativity, energy, and a commitment to inclusive education
- Has high expectations for student progress and achievement
- Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the college

Actual salary: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum
West Somerset College, part of Bridgwater & Taunton College Trust, is seeking an outstanding classroom teacher with the ability to teach Art and Photography to KS4 and KS5. This will be a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a strong and rapidly growing department, teaching primarily fine art at GCSE level and some art and photography at KS5.

The successful candidate will:
- Teach primarily Fine Art at GCSE level and some Photography at KS5.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Art and Photography.
- Inspire students to explore a wide range of artistic media, techniques, and creative processes.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment.
- Support students in developing strong portfolios and achieving excellent examination outcomes.
