St. George’s School is a unique provision for SEN as a secondary school for students with severe and complex needs.
ART TEACHER 0.8 FTE, UQT/MPS/UPS + SEN POINT – PERMANENT POST
The successful candidate will need to have:
• A strong student focus holding safeguarding at the centre of their practice.
• A developed understanding of the wide range of needs at St. George's school.
• Experience of teaching across the age range.
• A working knowledge of the KS3 National Curriculum for Art and accreditation suitable to the needs of our students.
• The ability to evidence strong experience of curriculum leadership.
• An enthusiastic professional ability to work with energy and vision to take Art provision forward at St. George's School to meet the needs of successive intakes.
• Experience of being a strong leader in their curriculum area and possess the ability to lead teams of support staff to support their class groups in a consistent way.
• Experience of supporting non-specialist KS3 colleagues to supplement specialist teaching for their one lesson of Art a week.
