Art Teacher-Maternity Cover-Burgess Hill job summary
What we are looking for
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Art Teacher for maternity cover at our Burgess Hill Centre
We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing outstanding lessons for young people who may present with challenging behaviour. You will possess a good understanding of pupils with complex needs and display the confidence needed to work with pupil’s who experience social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
You will be responsible for;
Planning, preparing and delivering high quality lessons.
Tutoring a small group of up to 8 students,
The effective management of a Teaching Assistant in the classroom, which you will have regular support from.
Delivering Art based enrichment sessions which allow students to enjoy Art outside of the prescribed curriculum.
Deliver GCSE Art to students, including the marking, and standardization processes that sit alongside delivering the qualification
Regularly differentiating for students with complex needs, EHCPs, with challenging behaviour and different starting points.
