Ark Putney Academy opened in September 2012 as part of the Ark network in the London Borough of Wandsworth. We’re a mixed school with 950 students, ranging from year 7 through to sixth form. In our 2017 OFSTED inspection we were rated ‘Good’ in every category.

Our professional development offering is tailor based on the needs of the teacher and department to ensure everyone achieves their full potential. We also take the wellbeing of our staff seriously as we recognise that teaching can be a challenging profession. Therefore, staff receive regular rewards and recognition for effort.

We’re now looking to appoint an Art Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 DT from 1 January 2023. This role supports the teaching in our Creative Making Department to ensure the academy achieves its targets through appropriate Schemes of Work, assessment tracking and intervention.

You will:

  • Plan, resource and deliver lessons to the highest standard to inspire students to appreciate the subject
  • Be able to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities
  • Have the resolve and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of students
  • Be committed to Ark Putney’s ethos of high expectations
