Art & Technology Technician job summary
Sandymoor Ormiston Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and hard-working person to provide practical technician support within our school to members of the teaching staff in the Art & Technology departments. This support will be through the preparation and provision of equipment and ingredients to enable pupils to carry out practical lessons.
This is a full time role working 37 hours per week (normally 8am - 4pm, finishing at 3.30pm on a Friday), 5 days per week and working Term Time only.

About you:
Our ideal candidate will be hard working, have great communication and organisational skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
The main duties of the role include;
- Providing support and assistance to the classroom teacher during practical lessons
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times
- Check and organise resources and materials for cover lessons and liaise with department staff and the finance team in purchasing equipment and resources.
