As a keyholder, to maintain the security of the school premises and its contents, sharing the locking and unlocking of the school and site. Duties include general buildings and site maintenance, liaising with contractors, securing the building and site, activating and switching off alarm systems and general health and safety.
To ensure that heating, lighting systems and other equipment is working properly, and regulate heating.
To undertake handyperson duties, including decorating, maintenance, moving goods and furniture, minor repairs to property, fixtures, fittings and equipment.
To undertake general duties, such as general cleaning of storerooms and boiler room, clearance of drains and gullies, general tidying, snow clearance, gritting, etc.
To drive the minibus, transporting children as required.
The ideal candidate would be a person with good building or maintenance skills.
Uniform/work clothing provided.
Hours – 6 hours per day eg 12.30 - 6.30pm start time negotiable. Year-round contract. Holidays to be taken during school holidays as a preference.
