What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Curriculum Leader of Science to join us from 1 September 2026. This post is offered with a TLR 2.3 (£3,527), with specific areas of responsibility to be confirmed with the successful candidate. This job is arising as a result of an external promotion of a member of the Science team.
The successful candidate will be required to teach across the full ability range at KS3 and KS4. The ability to teach Chemistry, and to teach at KS5, would be an advantage.

Hanley Castle High School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school of approximately 1,050 students, including a flourishing sixth form. The school gained academy status in 2011 and in April 2017 our articles of association as an academy were amended to form the Hanley and Upton Educational Trust (MAT). This formalised close links with Hanley Swan and Kempsey primary schools. In January 2019 Welland primary school also became a member of the MAT.
