Assistant Head - Director of Sixth Form job summary

Fortismere is a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence.

The Headteacher is looking to appoint an innovative, committed, and talented Director of Sixth Form with a range of specialism and expertise to join an established leadership team who has led the school to outstanding academic results.

The successful candidate will support the Headteacher in implementing the School Improvement Plan, join the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in the strategic leadership of Fortismere, formulate aims and objectives of the school, review and evaluate KS5 progress and lead and manage the KS5 provision.

The appointed candidate will be strategic, flexible and inspirational in their thinking and able to work both as a team and individually to take Fortismere on its next phase, consolidating its many successes.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate drive, focus and ambition and has the capacity to work hard for the school and the resilience to meet any challenges head on. In return you will receive development opportunities and training to support you to realise your own ambitions.
