About this Role

Are you a talented, ambitious and hardworking Maths teacher looking for the next step in your leadership journey? For the right candidate, we are offering an enhanced TLR and a rare opportunity to gain the full experience of an aspiring Head of Maths. You will receive coaching and leadership development from both the Head of Maths and your SLT line manager, designed to fast‑track your readiness for a future Head of Maths role. If you are driven, committed, and excited by the chance to help lead the next stage of our department’s development journey, we would love to hear from you.

At KSA, we use the Sparx curriculum and are currently undertaking a transformative overhaul of our implementation to ensure our students receive the very best in maths education. This work is underpinned by deep subject knowledge, exceptional pedagogy, and a commitment to developing both strong mathematical skills and a genuine love of the subject.

As Assistant Head of Maths, you will be central to shaping this work — supporting curriculum design, ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery, and helping drive a culture where every student believes they can succeed in maths.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative and forward-thinking team where professional development, innovation and shared practice are highly valued. Whether you are stepping into leadership for the first time or looking to broaden your experience, you will find a department that nurtures ambition and celebrates determination.

What the Maths Department Can Offer

✅ A forward-thinking department led by passionate, expert practitioners.
✅ A supportive, collaborative team with strong professional development.
✅ A refreshed, ambitious curriculum centred around Sparx.
✅ A school committed to inclusion and securing success for every child.
✅ A culture of high expectations, innovation and academic excellence.

What We’re Looking For

📐 A talented and enthusiastic Maths teacher with strong subject knowledge.
📐 Someone ambitious, proactive and ready to contribute to a transformative curriculum journey.
📐 A leader who can support colleagues, drive consistency and model excellent practice.
📐 A commitment to developing students’ mathematical knowledge, problem-solving skills and love of maths.
📐 A belief that “kids do well if they can” — and a determination to help them succeed.

If you’re ready to play a key role in reshaping maths education at KSA — and want the opportunity to develop rapidly towards Head of Maths — we would love to hear from you.
