Assistant Head of School job summary

Highlees Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic KS1/KS2 teacher to join our leadership team in the post of Assistant Head of School, including a teaching responsibility. This position provides the opportunity to support the leadership team to implement and lead initiatives for school improvement and to make a positive contribution to the improved learning of our children. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with high expectations of attainment and behaviour for all pupils. We are committed to providing a welcoming and stimulating experience for all the pupils at Highlees. In motivating and engaging our children we endeavour to prepare them for their next stage in their learning journey. Highlees believes that our teachers should be fully supported in their role and is committed to encouraging our teachers to pursue opportunities for their personal professional development. It would be desirable for the Assistant Head of School to have an interest in the area of Inclusion and Special Educational Needs.
