- be an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven track record of success at Key Stage 3 and 4
- be committed to raising standards both of behaviour and academic achievement
- have a proven track record of successful leadership
- significant relevant experience of contributing to whole school improvement strategies
- the ability to raise expectations and aspirations of all students
- an understanding of effective behaviour management strategies
