What skills and experience we're looking for
Assistant Head of Year (Non-teaching role)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic
and driven person with the skills and ability to support students to help them to
attain their full potential. The successful
candidate will be able to work on their own initiative in a calm, caring and
efficient manner with support from a successful and hardworking team.
Our students are achieving academic
results at national levels and have outstanding attendance. We want to build on
this through our ethos of, ‘Belong, Believe, Achieve’ so that every student has the very
best future.
The ideal candidate will have the passion and determination to ensure that all our students become excellent citizens. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to the requirements of this demanding but rewarding role.
We are looking for an Assistant Head of Year who will:
- work directly with students to support, motivate, and encourage students to succeed
- bring knowledge and experience to secure positive outcomes through pastoral support
- actively support young people and their families to overcome barriers to learning
- model commitment, resilience, patience, hard work and a good sense of humour.
