Our Lady of the Magnificat are looking to recruit an Assistant Head of Year (non-teaching) This role will be based at St Augustine’s Catholic High School.

The successful candidate will:

  • To take responsibility for the pastoral and academic welfare of pupils in a particular year group.
  • To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the year group and to monitor and support student progress.
  • To be accountable for student progress and development within the year group.
  • To develop and enhance the practice of others.
  • To remove barriers to learning and have an impact on students’ life chances.
  • Deputise for designated safeguard lead as appropriate
  • Lead on Welfare within the school.

Saint Augustine’s Catholic High School was established in 1974 by the Archdiocese of Birmingham to serve the needs of Catholic families living in Redditch, Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas and families of all beliefs. We currently have 945 students on roll in the 13-19 age range. Approximately 34% of our students and 25% of our staff are Catholic. We pride ourselves on being a Catholic school for all.
