Lilian Baylis Technology School is a mixed, 11-18, inner-city community school located in a modern building in Vauxhall, London. The Role

We are seeking an outstanding, visionary leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher. In this role, you will lead our STEM strategy, champion cutting-edge educational technology, and drive student achievement across the school.

Key Strategic & Operational Responsibilities:

  • STEM Curriculum Lead: Provide strategic direction and oversight for Science, Technology, and Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

  • Artificial Intelligence Strategy: Lead the school’s approach to AI—incorporating AI literacy into the curriculum while leveraging AI tools to drive staff efficiency and workload reduction.

  • Post-16 Technology & T Levels: Oversee strategic development for Post-16 technical education, including the growth and success of our T Level pathways.

  • IT Infrastructure Leadership: Line manage the School IT & Network Manager, ensuring our technical infrastructure, network systems, and hardware directly support pedagogy and administrative efficiency.

  • Online Safeguarding: Act as the strategic lead for digital safety and online safeguarding across the school community.

  • Staff Development & Standards: Lead research-informed pedagogy, systems development, and CPD to maintain world-class standards in STEM education.
