We are looking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Assistant Headteacher (Teaching & Learning) to join our Senior Leadership Team commencing January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding leader to drive excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment across the school.

As Assistant Headteacher (Teaching & Learning), you will provide strategic leadership to secure consistently high-quality teaching and learning, champion evidence-informed practice, lead professional development and work collaboratively with leaders and staff to ensure exceptional outcomes for all students.

Our ideal candidate will:

Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a successful track record of improving teaching and learning.

Have experience of leading and developing others, including coaching and supporting colleagues to improve practice.

Be passionate about delivering an ambitious curriculum and ensuring every student can achieve excellence and fulfil their potential.

Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to use assessment and performance data to drive school improvement.

Be committed to fostering a culture of high expectations, professional growth and continuous improvement.

Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and be able to inspire staff, students and the wider school community.

Commitment to safeguarding

At Stone Lodge our approach to safeguarding is child-centred and we consider at all times the best interest of the child.
We have a designated safeguarding lead, who provides support to staff members to carry out their safeguarding duties and liaises with other agencies such as children’s social care.
Mr Barnett is also a safeguarding lead and regular meetings are held to discuss any ongoing safeguarding or welfare concerns.
All staff members receive safeguarding and child protection training which is regularly updated.
