Assistant Head Teacher job summary

Following internal promotion, the Dame Ellen Pinsent School is looking for an Assistant Head Teacher.

The successful candidate will have a passion for improving the lives and outcomes of children with special needs. Our new Assistant Head Teacher will contribute to the continued development of our school and support the culture and ethos of our supportive school.

At Dame Ellen Pinsent we offer an accessible and inclusive curriculum that prioritises the unique and individual starting points of our children. We provide children with learning opportunities to help them develop the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to succeed in their next phase of learning and life in general.

Do you have:

Experience of leadership within a primary setting

Experience of teaching children with a variety of special needs

Experience of coaching and mentoring staff

A passion to ensure that children with SEND are visible, valuable members of the community

A secure understanding of the strategies needed to deliver an outstanding quality of education to children with a variety of needs
