Assistant Head Teacher to lead English job summary

Due to the current placeholder relocating, we are seeking a talented and inspirational Assistant Head Teacher to lead the English Department, someone who is passionate, dedicated to designing a curriculum to further our students’ lifelong journey of curiosity, and to mentor our high performing team of teachers. You will play a significant role in shaping the department to ensure literature and language flourish at every stage of our students lives.

As Assistant Head Teacher for English, you will:

• Progress the English department to even greater successes
• Lead and mentor your team, enhancing their teaching practice with innovative methods and ensuring they have a clear vision
• Promote the understanding and belief that every student can be successful
• Oversee and shape the curriculum’s delivery
• Manage the allocation of resources and budgets
• Collaborate with other heads of departments to achieve a consistent approach for all
• Support the Academy Leadership Team to meet development plan priorities
