Alderman Jacobs is a vibrant and popular three form entry school with its own pre-school located in the market town of Whittlesey, just 6 miles from Peterborough. The school was rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted (March 2023) with inspectors reporting that ‘Alderman Jacobs is a welcoming and happy place where pupils enjoy their learning. All aspects of school life reflect the school’s values of energy for life, learning and the environment’. The school joined the Soke Education Trust in September 2023 and works collaboratively with Gunthorpe, John Clare, Northborough, Werrington and Wittering Primary Schools supported by an experienced and collaborative central team.

Following the promotion to Headship of one of our long serving Assistant Headteachers, we have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and inspirational leader to join a dedicated and creative senior leadership team. You will lead a 6 class phase in our school, supporting 180 children, teachers and support staff.We are looking for someone who:

-Can enthuse and motivate our children and staff

-Has a relentless focus on improving the quality of teaching and improving outcomes for children across the curriculum.

-Has been involved in developing robust and accurate systems of self-evaluation which have led to improved outcomes

-Has experience of line management and coaching.

-Will offer support and challenge to staff

-Will enjoy developing a curriculum which inspires children to learn and engages them in all aspects of school life

-An unwavering commitment to inclusion and securing provision which meets the needs of the most vulnerable pupils

-A firm commitment to school improvement through a collaborative approach, including working with other schools in Soke Education Trust.

-Is a team player, reflective, approachable and kind.
