What skills and experience we're looking for

The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher at The Bridge Academy Primary. The Bridge Academy is an all through (5-16 years) short stay school based across two sites in Lichfield (secondary) and Rugeley (primary).

The Primary site offers alternative provision across two classrooms, catering for pupils who are struggling to successfully access learning in their mainstream school. The school offers a modified curriculum with maximum group sizes of 7 pupils.

The Assistant Headteacher will lead and manage the primary school, with support from the Headteacher who oversees both school sites. Working as part of the leadership team, the Assistant Headteacher will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead, taking responsibility for safeguarding and child protection for the primary school.

Our provision is for some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils in the area so it is important to get someone who is driven by ensuring progression for all, through exceptional teaching, learning and assessment. The successful applicant will be an outstanding leader with experience of either mainstream or special educational needs and have the drive, energy and ambition to inspire students and staff.

If you are looking for a new and rewarding challenge in alternative education provision and are committed to making a difference, then we look forward to hearing from you!

To apply, please complete an online application form via our website. Completed applications should include a supporting statement outlining how meet the criteria set out in the person specification
