Assistant Headteacher – Curriculum & Teaching job summary
The Trust is looking to appoint an ambitious and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher and invites applications from professionals with the vision and drive to inspire and lead the strategic development of curriculum and teaching across the school.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate who will take responsibility for the implementation of key strategies and policies to secure continued school improvement. The successful applicant will be someone who puts pupils first and proactively champions the development, sharing and monitoring of best practice to drive improvement across the school.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent and inspiring classroom practitioner, with a proven track record of securing strong pupil progress and a genuine passion for making a difference for all learners. The role involves working closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders to lead and be accountable for key aspects of the school’s work, including but not limited to:
- Curriculum & Teaching (Pedagogy)
- Teaching and Learning
- Assessment data, target setting and reporting
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Areas of responsibility will be agreed following appointment and will reflect the successful candidate’s experience, strengths and professional interests.
