Assistant Headteacher - Director of Sixth Form job summary

To take operational and strategic control of the Sixth Form at Harrogate Grammar School and ensure it meets the targets and expectations agreed by the Governing Body:
Providing inspirational leadership to the Sixth Form team and Students,
Leading on annual strategic and resourcing plans for a cost effective sustainable provision for the Sixth Form, ensuring all reporting is completed accurately and on time
Supporting the attainment and progress of students through the quality of the curriculum, effective tracking systems to facilitate appropriate and effective interventions, strong pastoral support with career guidance for all paths.
To lead and manage the staff team for the Sixth Form, supporting development and appraisals, to enable the highest standards and diverse and enriching programme
To lead on the recruitment programme for the Sixth Form to achieve the targets, managing the different aspects of the programme including prospectus, advertising and events.
