Ben Jonson Primary School is a vibrant, three
form entry school for children aged 3 to 11. We are situated close to Mile End park and a
short distance away from the City of London, in the London Borough of Tower
Hamlets.

We welcome children from all backgrounds, abilities and talents.
Our main aim is to give all our children the opportunity to develop their
full potential.

Our Ethos

Ben Jonson Primary School has a character of its own
with a real ‘buzz’ around the building from our youngest children in the Early
Years, all the way up to our Year 6 children preparing for the next steps in

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate
will be an individual who:

  • Will provide effective
    leadership of the Inclusion team;
  • Support the headteacher’s overall leadership, development and management
    of the teaching and learning of all pupils including those pupils in the Ben
    Jonson SEMH Resource Provision;
  • Will have extensive experience
    and skills in working with pupils with a range of special educational needs and
    be passionate about helping all our pupils to achieve their full potential;
  • Have the ability to relate to
    and communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and other professionals;
  • Able to work well under pressure,
    having the ability
    to adopt a flexible approach
    to working and support other areas of the school when required;
  • Will have an excellent knowledge of current
    safeguarding regulations and best practice;
  • Be organised and resourceful;
  • Shares the school’s vision for education and has a commitment to the same ethos;
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of, and commitment to working within the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion;
  • Is a team player
    who shows a positive attitude,
    works well with colleagues, and offers constructive suggestions for school
    improvement;
  • Is a good role model to other colleagues.
