What skills and experience we're looking for

We are currently looking for an exceptional Assistant Headteacher to join our Leadership team at Ruislip Gardens Primary School. We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious individual to develop as a Senior Leader and take the next step towards Headship. Along with other members of the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Headteacher will be centrally involved in the development of the school curriculum and the quality of teaching and learning in KS2. They will be responsible for raising standards and as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) will help to establish a culture that is nurturing and safe. Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding teacher and a strategic leader with a resilient character and a strong personal drive.

The ideal candidate will also:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • Have a proven experience of positively impacting on pupil progress, raising attainment and developing excellence
  • Be fully committed to Ruislip Gardens’ vision and values
  • Have the drive to make a real difference to the lives of pupils
  • Have experience in data management and assessment to inform strategic planning
  • Work as part of the Leadership Team to drive and lead school improvement
  • Have vision, energy, honesty and loyalty and can inspire and motivate staff and children
  • Have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
