Following the retirement of the long-standing leader of our Sixth Form, Matthew Morris-Jones, join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher - Head of Sixth Form, leading our thriving 230-student Sixth Form and working alongside a dedicated team to inspire excellence, achievement and successful destinations for every student.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Sixth Form, ensuring that every student is supported to achieve their academic, personal and future aspirations. You will have high expectations of students and staff, be committed to raising achievement and outcomes, and have a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing young people in the post-16 phase.

The Head of Sixth Form will lead a dedicated team, supported by an Assistant Head of Year and Sixth Form Mentor/Administrator, ensuring a strong culture of aspiration, achievement, personal development, attendance, wellbeing and progression. You will work closely with curriculum leaders, pastoral teams, families and external partners to ensure that our students receive high-quality guidance and support throughout their Sixth Form journey.

The role will also include responsibility for teaching your own subject, enabling you to maintain a strong connection with classroom practice and contribute directly to the wider academic life of the school.
