Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion job summary

We are looking for a practitioner who is research‑informed, reflective and proactive, with the confidence and initiative to help build a thriving, nurturing and inclusive Early Years environment. This role would suit an experienced Assistant Headteacher seeking a new challenge, or an ambitious Middle Leader ready to step into their first Senior Leadership role.

The Assistant Headteacher will play a pivotal role in translating the school’s vision into consistent, high-quality practice. A key focus of the role is ensuring children in the Early Years continue to receive the best early opportunities in a nurturing and creative environment. This will also include provision for our 3-4 year olds.

We are looking for a positive, adaptable and solution-focused leader with strong expertise in foundational skills and continuous provision, a commitment to inclusion, and a proven track record of improving teaching and learning. You will be joining a fantastic school with a highly supportive and committed team, access to a wide variety of CPD and working closely with wonderful children and families. This role would suit someone who is excited by the opportunity to develop provision, influence practice and make a lasting impact in Early Years education.
