Assistant Headteacher – Learning & Teaching

Leadership Scale Pt 12-16

Full-time

Start date: September or January

Due to the promotion of the current postholder to deputy headship, we are seeking an exceptional leader who will take on specific responsibility for strategic leadership of learning and teaching. They will be accountable for developing and implementing innovative and high-quality strategies to deliver continuous improvement in learning and teaching practice and outcomes, including through the design, engagement and delivery of programmes of staff continuous professional development. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the AHT(L&T) will also join in the leadership and management of all SLT shared responsibilities.

Our OFSTED grading has recently been confirmed as Outstanding (November 2023) and the inspection team have written that:

‘Staff say that they are very well supported. Staff feel valued. They have high praise for how leaders look after the staff’s well-being and their workload.’

‘A school of exceptional quality.’

‘Pupils meet leaders’ exceptionally high expectations for their work, personal development and behaviour.’

‘A highly ambitious curriculum is in place for all pupils. A broad and rich curriculum prepares pupils exceptionally well.’
