Assistant Headteacher / SENCO job summary
The Governors of Goodway Nursery School are seeking to appoint an inspiring, compassionate and dedicated Assistant Headteacher/ SENCO, to work alongside the Executive Headteacher and the Deputy headteacher.
Goodway Nursery is a Local Authority Maintained Nursery School, situated in Great Barr, Birmingham. The school is Federated with Bloomsbury Nursery School, which is situated in Nechells. Both schools share a Governing Board and work closely together, with a shared commitment to offer the very best early education. The post of AHT/ SENCO is based at Goodway Nursery School and is a non-teaching role.

We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher/ SENCO who;
- Has an excellent knowledge and understanding of early years pedagogy and child development
- Is experienced and dedicated, holding the PG Certificate in SEND, or is enrolled on & working towards the NPQ SENCO
- Has strong leadership skills and the ability to support, challenge, motivate and inspire others
- Is committed to inclusive practice, ensuring every child has the very best possible start to their education
- Is positive, enthusiastic, energetic and nurturing
