About the role
The role is advertised as FULL TIME but we will consider PART TIME.
We are seeking an inspirational and experienced senior leader to join us as Assistant Headteacher, with a strategic lead for SEND, inclusion and pastoral care across the academy. Working in close partnership with the Headteacher and SLT, you will help shape and deliver the academy’s vision, values and inclusive ethos. You will lead on SEND provision, ensuring high-quality teaching, effective interventions and outstanding outcomes for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. A key part of this role is driving whole-school improvement in inclusion, overseeing EHCPs and Learning Support Plans, and ensuring strong partnerships with parents/carers, external agencies and the local authority. You will also play a central role in safeguarding, pupil wellbeing and staff development to promote a safe, supportive and aspirational learning environment.

We are looking for a committed and forward-thinking leader who is passionate about inclusion and improving life chances for all learners. Requirements for the role include:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- NASENCO qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong leadership experience in SEND within a primary setting
- Proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
- Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding requirements
- Ability to lead, inspire and develop staff effectively
