Assistant Headteacher (SEND lead) job summary

The Local Governing Board of Oakwood Junior School wish to appoint an outstanding teacher who is passionate about teaching and meeting the needs of all learners. An inspirational, determined and committed teacher is required to lead the SEND role from September 2022 at Oakwood Junior School. This is an exciting opportunity to lead practice when the provision for students with SEND could not be of greater importance. The candidate must have a good depth of knowledge about the KS2 curriculum, significant experience and knowledge of working with children and young people with a range of complex needs, particularly at KS2. This post comes without class responsibility; however, there will be some teaching commitment. Candidates will need to demonstrate a proven track record in leading successful whole-school initiative(s).
