This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic leader to join an experienced and successful leadership team. Our motto is ‘Learn. Dream. The governors are seeking to recruit an outstanding and motivated practitioner with a passion for raising standards who can, along with the Headteacher and SLT, provide strategic leadership for our ‘good’ and improving school.

We are seeking an exceptional colleague to join our school SLT, as Assistant Headteacher - SEND. The successful candidate will hold, currently be enrolled in, or willing to embark on the National Award for SENCo (or equivalent) and will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher with demonstrable expertise and passion for ensuring that the needs of all students are met. In particular, they will be able to further develop all staff in the effective delivery of adaptive teaching to support SEND students. The successful candidate will be supported by the Assistant SENCo, and the wider team, to further enhance practice across the school.


We require a professional who:-

  • has a track record of success as a middle/senior leader;
  • is an excellent and ambitious classroom teacher;
  • has a proven and demonstrable track record of success at Key Stage 4;
  • has a good understanding of current educational developments;
  • is a strategic thinker with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and students;
  • is an excellent communicator;
  • has the energy, commitment and enthusiasm to help us to realise our vision to become outstanding;
