-The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate, from current teaching practice, their ability to enthuse and motivate their pupils regardless of their starting point and be committed to raising standards for all.

You will have experience in leading whole-school improvement projects with measured impact and a proven track record of leading a team and modelling excellence to improve academic outcomes.

Part of your role will be to improve standards of teaching and learning across school, playing a key role in embedding the vision and values of the school and the design and implementation of staff CPD, including mentoring and coaching staff at all levels.

We are looking for a strong practitioner with experience of leading SEND provision with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues and who is passionate about raising standards and life chances for all children.

The suitable candidate will have, or be working towards the National SENDCo Award.

You will work closely with Teachers and manage TA's support and interventions. Your role will help to develop an inclusive school practice and develop existing systems of tracking and reviewing provision. Responsibilities include, leading the school provision map; developing class profile of needs; the analysis of data, line management of Teaching Assistants; leading areas of performance management; assisting in the delivery of CPD, developing positive relationships with families. You will also support the Headteacher/DSL as the school’s Deputy DSL by having a good understanding of the needs of children from disadvantaged backgrounds including behaviour, SEMH and pastoral support. You will have a tenacious approach to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of our young people.

We are located towards the centre of the large village of Hunmanby, 3 miles from the North Sea and the town of Filey. We are proud of our school site which has spacious grounds with a large playing field and wildlife pond area. We have a range of other outdoor facilities including an allotment garden with fruit cage and heritage orchard, large polytunnel, river of wild flowers, shelter and willow dome and a range of themed flower beds. We even have chickens!
