POST OF : ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER
PAY SCALE: L17-L21

Swanshurst is a large ‘Outstanding School’ for girls aged 11-19 years. We offer excellent support and CPD for staff at all stages of their career.
Ofsted found pupils at Swanshurst to be “happy, well cared for and that they secure excellent academic and personal outcomes” they described the girls as “polite, respectful and courteous”. Needless to say, we are incredibly proud of them and of all our staff who contribute to the “purposeful learning culture within the school that characterises the work of staff and pupils”.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated professional to join our successful leadership team.
The successful candidate will be an inspirational role model who has a passion for teaching and learning, a track record of developing others to ensure that every child fulfils their potential. They will set the highest expectations of students in terms of their learning, achievement and behaviour. They will inspire the same in leaders and staff in terms of knowledge, curriculum, pedagogy and pastoral care.
The key purpose of this role will be shaped to utilise the strengths and experience of the strongest candidate but is likely to be focused on pastoral care, behaviour, pupil welfare and/or the wider curriculum.
