Assistant Headteacher (Teaching and Learning) job summary
All about the role:
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher (Teaching and Learning) as a key member of our school’s Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to raising standards of achievement for all pupils, shaping the future development of the school and leading on priorities related to teaching and learning within the School Improvement Plan (SIP). The main responsibility of this post will be to lead on promoting, developing and securing consistently high quality, inclusive teaching which enables all pupils in our school to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Exemplary classroom practice with high expectations for the achievement of all pupils;
• The ability to lead, motivate and inspire others on all aspects of teaching and learning within the context of creating a broad, innovative and relevant curriculum;
• The ability to work collaboratively with SLT to lead on all aspects of quality of teaching and learning, curriculum design and subject leadership;
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills;
• Commitment and enthusiasm for securing the best possible outcomes for all our pupils
