The Vale Academy are looking to appoint an Assistant Principal to join our academy in January 2027 on a full time, permanent.

Your new school

The Vale is a successful and high-achieving 11-18 academy with an excellent reputation and a strong track record of student outcomes, which continue to be above national averages. Our latest outcomes placed the academy first in the local authority for attainment at 5+ in both English and Mathematics at 59%. Overall attainment at 4+ in both English and Mathematics stands at 75%, with an attainment score of 48.2.

Situated in Brigg, North Lincolnshire, The Vale serves a largely rural community. Brigg is a historic market town on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, and many of our students travel a considerable distance to attend the academy. We provide state-of-the-art facilities and an outstanding learning environment for both students and staff. The Vale also offers an extensive and varied programme of extracurricular activities, supporting a rich and rounded education and providing opportunities for students to develop their interests, talents and aspirations both within and beyond the classroom.

Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the dedication, vision and drive to lead and inspire. You will provide high quality leadership and management commensurate with the needs of the academy and the Delta Academies Trust group. As an Assistant Principal, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team of the academy, working within the ‘Deeps’ as assigned by the Principal. You will proactively support the Principal / Vice Principal / AAB members to ensure that the leadership and management of the academy runs at the most effective level possible.
