We are looking for a values‑led Assistant Principal, or aspiring leader, to join our leadership team, focusing on behaviour and attendance. This is a rare opportunity to lead a talented pastoral team, drive high standards and ensure every student succeeds in a safe, calm and productive environment.


About the Role

Key priorities for the role include:

  • Ensuring high standards of behaviour and attitudes are consistently maintained
  • Leadership of the pastoral team, ensuring high quality follow-up, communication and actions
  • Strategic use of behaviour data to identify trends, direct support and evaluate impact
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the daily behaviour routines through relentless presence
  • Working in close partnership with the wider leadership team to ensure alignment to academy priorities
  • Strong communicator who works collaboratively with all stakeholders

This role sits within the Senior Leadership Team of Sir Christopher Hatton Academy, an experienced, collaborative team led by two Co‑Principals. Across key strategic areas such as curriculum, behaviour and pastoral care, the team works closely as part of ‘Team Hatton’ to uphold high standards, maintain a positive school culture and drive the academy’s mission to ‘aim for excellence in all that we do’.
