Assistant Principal EYFS job summary
St Giles' and St George's is a Church of England Christian school part of Three Spires Trust serving a number of schools across the Midlands. Both the trust and our academy are under the umbrella of the Church of England Diocese of Lichfield. Our Christian mission and values are at the heart of our service to this wonderful community.
Our school is a large primary academy providing education for all children aged 3 to 11 years. Through high-quality preschool provision, inclusive of parent and toddler sessions, we seek to ensure your child’s educational journey allows them to flourish and thrive.
We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Early Years leader to join our senior team as Assistant Principal - EYFS. This is a key role for someone passionate about giving every child the very best start in life and committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive early education.
As Assistant Principal, you will lead and develop our EYFS provision, ensuring excellent teaching, strong outcomes, and a nurturing environment where children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. You will work closely with colleagues across the school to shape a creative and engaging curriculum, while supporting staff through coaching and professional development. You will also play an important role in wider school improvement and in building positive relationships with families and the community.
We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in Early Years, including leadership responsibilities, and a deep understanding of child development and the EYFS framework. You will be an effective communicator, able to inspire others, and committed to high standards, inclusion, and safeguarding.
In return, we offer a supportive and ambitious leadership team, opportunities for professional growth, and a welcoming school community where your work will have a meaningful and lasting impact.
