We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our leadership team and play an important role in leading Inclusion at Budmouth. The successful candidate will be an expert in Inclusion, and a strong leader with the ability to inspire staff and students to achieve positive outcomes. The successful candidate will also play an important role in leading the SEND team to ensure the academic and pastoral needs of all SEND students are met. As part of this role you will oversee our ASC Base, Learning Support Centre and Student Support Centre. This post also involves leading on Safeguarding across the academy, as the Designated Safeguarding Lead. You will ideally hold a NASENCo/NPQSENCO qualification along with your Qualified Teacher Status. You will work with the leadership team to provide strategic leadership, clear direction and effective implementation and management of the academy’s Inclusion and SEND policies.
It will be an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to further develop their career, with future opportunities for progression to Vice Principal.
We are looking for someone who:
Has the drive, expertise and experience to lead on Inclusion at the academy
Understands what constitutes highly inclusive practice
Is passionate about removing children’s barriers to learning
Has excellent knowledge of statutory safeguarding and SEND frameworks
Has excellent people skills and the ability to lead, motivate, challenge and support colleagues
As an Assistant Principal you will contribute to the successful strategic leadership of the Academy and will be accountable, as a member of the senior leadership team, for inspiring, managing and leading staff and students to achieve their very best. Alongside these attributes, candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively enthuse and lead others and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing continuing professional development relevant to their position.
