Assistant Principal - SENCo job summary
We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual, with proven experience to contribute to the leadership of our SEN function.
We are a mainstream Academy and our guiding principle is one of inclusion and our aim is to identify possible barriers to learning for all students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
Our SEND team consists of an Assistant Principal - SENCo, Assistant SENCo, and a team of Academic Mentors - all of whom are experienced and qualified.
Each Academic Mentor is linked to individual students as a student champion. Our teachers here at Granville Academy are trained to support students with SEND and lessons are personalised to students' strengths and areas for development, and differentiating any work accordingly. All SEND students carry a Passport of reasonable adjustments and teachers are aware of these needs.
CPD
The Trust believes that professional development is key to being successful and offers excellent opportunities for colleagues to grow and achieve. We provide tailored CPD and professional development, mentoring, strong support and a range of developmental opportunities across the Trust.
