Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Salary: ALT Grade E - £25,383.00 to £26,409.00
Actual Salary: ALT Grade E - £21,224.71 to £22,082.63

We have an exciting new opportunity for a committed Assistant SENDCo to join our team! If you have a sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and a passion for inclusive education, we’d love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Principal for SEND, and the Assistant SENDCo (Quality of Education), supporting the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy, while contributing to the overall ethos and success of the Academy.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the management of statutory and school-based SEND processes, including co-ordination of EHCP reviews.
- Lead the co-ordination of Exams Access Arrangement testing and collation of evidence for folders, under the direction of the Assistant Principal for SEND.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on supporting pupils with SEN or a disability through the diagnostic tools and processes available in the Academy setting.
- Liaise with other schools, educational psychologists, health and social care professionals, and other external agencies as needed.
