Assistant SENDCo / SEND Admin Support required job summary

Pear Tree Mead Academy is looking to appoint an Assistant SENDCo to work alongside the SEND team at the school.

This post will be based at Pear Tree Mead Academy but there will be opportunities to work across our trust.

In this role you will be assisting with the day-to-day operation of Inclusion in our primary school, ensuring its provision supports the achievement of all SEND/Additional Needs.

You will have:

  • Excellent organisation skills and a capability to manage own workload and meet deadlines and support others to do this.
  • A high level of administration skills and be able to be confident to work with a variety of systems.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of how to support pupils with SEND
  • Proven, successful experience of supporting pupils with SEND 
  • Proven, successful experience of working in a team
  • Be able to attend meetings, take notes, record actions and write letters.
  • Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel etc)
  • A good level of spoken and written English and Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


35 hours per week


Monday – Friday (9.00am – 4:00pm)


39 working weeks per year / 44.7 paid weeks
