Assistant SENDCo job summary
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant SENDCo to join our team. If you have the expertise, commitment, and enthusiasm to support students with diverse learning needs, we would love to hear from you!
Your Opportunity
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Assistant SENDCo to play a key role in supporting the SENDCO to maintain the SEND Provision. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated and nurturing team, ensuring robust record keeping for actions undertaken for students with SEND. The successful candidate will also support the process of information gathering for SEND and EHCP annual reviews whilst arranging EP referrals, SALT assessments and liaising with Surrey SALT for visits to students.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Evidence of SENDCO qualification
- Experience of teaching groups/whole classes
- Experience of teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Be a pro-active member of the team with a can-do approach
- Be flexible and committed
- Be passionate about the students' learning and welfare
- Have excellent communication skills, which enables you to support within your team appropriately
- Be keen to be part of the wider school community
