Full time: Full time, Permanent (37 hours per week), all year round Mon- Thurs – 06:15am – 2:15pm, Friday 6:15am-1:45pm. Or Mon- Thurs – 10:45am – 6:45pm, Friday 11:00am-6:30pm. Working pattern to be agreed (Hours may vary during the year due to planned events and school holidays)

What skills and experience we're looking for

Purpose of the post

  • To support the Site Manager in all premises related aspects across the school

Responsibilities

  • To ensure that the premises are kept secure and safe and in good working order
  • To be responsible for the lighting and heating of the premises as directed
  • To undertake handyperson duties as appropriate and with due regard to health and safety legislation
  • To undertake porterage duties
  • To participate in staff training programmes and to carry out all other duties in a responsible manner with due regard to the school’s Health and Safety Policy
  • To use equipment, machinery and cleaning materials as directed and to ensure that such equipment is satisfactorily maintained
  • To ensure that accidents at work and defects of equipment, machinery and buildings are reported appropriately
  • To undertake overtime duties e.g. related to the authorised use of the premises outside of normal school hours
  • To undertake the general cleaning duties including school floors
  • To assist appropriate authorities when carrying out inspections of the school
  • To have an involvement in other activities as may be assigned from time to time by the headteacher
  • Supervise the cleaning team as required

Other Specific Duties

Many specific responsibilities will require collaborative working with other team members which, as the Assistant Site Supervisor, you will develop proactively.

The post holder will be expected to comply with all reasonable requests from the Headteacher and Senior Site Manager to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in their job description.
