Assistant to the SENCo job summary
In this key position, you will:
Line manage Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and coordinate their timetables.
Oversee targeted interventions and ensure Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are kept up to date.
Build strong relationships with parents, students, teaching staff, and external agencies.
Support the transition of vulnerable students as they join the academy.
This is an administrative support role, so Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required.
Salary: Grade 9 £32,933 - £37,188 pro-rata for term-time working plus 15 additional days).
(equivalent to £29,414 - £33,214 per annum)
Hours: 37 hours per week
(Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm).
Term: 38 weeks term-time plus an additional three weeks.
