We are looking to appoint an excellent Senior Leader to lead, inspire and further develop our Sixth Form at All Saints’ Academy.

Our sixth form delivers A levels, vocational qualifications and a key skills program with around half of our students staying with us after year 11 and an increasing number joining us from other institutions. Students go on to study at University, pursue apprenticeships and directly enter the workplace. As a result of this diversity, we have recently recruited a careers advisor to strengthen the bespoke support that our students receive.

You will lead the existing team which consists of two Assistant Heads of Sixth Form, Head of Careers and Sixth Form study mentors to ensure there is an excellent work ethic enabling all students to achieve their full potential. There are two study spaces that are supervised during students' study periods which has also be instrumental in shaping the sixth form culture.

Our current Head of Sixth Form leaves us to take up a role of Senior Vice Principal. The work that has started has been strong but there is further to go. In particular, sixth form recruitment, the quality of teaching and the overall experience of students have improved.

This role presents an opportunity to shape a significant area of school life in line with our Academy vision by improving outcomes, providing pastoral guidance and developing careers and university experiences. It is an opportunity for an ambitious leader who has previously impacted student achievement and culture. The successful candidate will be supported in stepping into a senior role both through internal mentoring and external training.

Sponsored by the Anglican Diocese of Gloucester, we are an Academy serving at the heart of our local community. All Saints’ Academy has a Life Vision, ‘Where every member of our extended family realises their God-given potential, inspired by John 10:10. Jesus said 'I have come so you may have life in all its fullness’.

We are an inclusive Church Academy that welcomes applications from all denominations and those of none.

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024 recommendations. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
