An exciting opportunity has arisen for our school to recruit an enthusiastic and conscientious SENDCO to lead our SEND Team, building on the strong work that is already in place and championing our SEND students. We are looking to appoint an ambitious and dynamic leader who is hardworking and energetic to join our Leadership Team in this role. You will need to have expertise in the key fields of inclusion and working with students with additional needs.

Main duties
Inclusion Leadership: Support the Headteacher and SLT in delivering whole-school inclusion priorities, ensuring alignment with the SEND Code of Practice and the School Improvement Plan.
Operational Provision & Tracking: Coordinate targeted interventions and track pupil progress data for SEND, EAL, and Pupil Premium cohorts to maximise impact and achievement.
Teaching & Learning Guidance: Model and promote high-quality adaptive teaching strategies across classrooms to ensure full curriculum access and scaffolding for all pupils.
Support Staff Management: Direct, deploy, and line manage allocated support staff to optimise learning support across key stages.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Act as the main operational liaison for external agencies (e.g., Educational Psychologists, Local Authority teams, health professionals) and lead statutory EHCP/SEN review processes.
Parental & Pastoral Support: Build strong, collaborative partnerships with parents and carers while supporting early intervention pathways for pupil wellbeing and attendance.
