Associate Assistant Headteacher - Mathematics job summary
Icknield High School is a state funded secondary academy school with 1450 students. It has an Ofsted rating of ‘good’ – February 2024. It caters for students aged between 11 and 16 in Luton, Bedfordshire. The school is located in north Luton and just off the A6.

As the Associate Assistant Headteacher of Maths, you will be part of a team of lead professionals that take responsibility for the quality of individual subject provision, curriculum teaching and assessment.
You will be jointly accountable for subject performance improvement, attainment, and progress in your discreet subject area, in particular outcomes for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to accelerate improvement and raise standards.
Within your role, you will plan and teach high quality lessons, deliver intervention programmes and challenge and support subject teams to achieve stretching targets for student outcomes. You will analyse performance data to ensure that students are appropriately targeted for support.
Furthermore, you will lead on a key aspects of school development plan and operations based on your expertise and at the discretion of the Headteacher.
