Associate Assistant Principal job summary
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Associate Assistant Principal to join our supportive and talented leadership team at Bristol Metropolitan Academy. We are a growing organisation, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.
Required from 04 January 2021 (or as soon as possible thereafter) until 31 December 2021 in the first instance due to the secondment of the current postholder. If you are an internal member of staff, you must have the permission from your current Principal to apply for the role due to the short notice period for taking up the role. This is a full time position however, part time hours will be considered for the best candidate in line with operational needs of the Academy.
You will be part of a core aim area overseen by one of our Assistant Principals. There may be some flexibility around specific roles and responsibilities depending on your current experience and leadership areas but the main responsibilities will be within the Teaching & Learning Core Aim leading on whole school strategic areas of development.
Please include a covering letter (no more than 2 sides of A4) outlining:
1) How the experiences you have had in your career to date prepare you for the role of associate assistant principal? Please include any examples of particular projects or initiatives you have led and the impact they have had. Consider how these experiences match the requirements of a senior leader in a busy inner city school.
2) What the makings of a successful school leader are and how you would measure your own success in August 2021 at the end of a very different academic year which you will join part way through?
3) What you will do in your first 100 days in post to establish yourself within the academy?
